Dutch students visit Mull firm
THE Scottish Salmon Company (SSC) has welcomed six students from the Netherlands to the Isle of Mull to give them hands- on experience of the aquaculture industry.
Aged between 18 and 25, the students are spending two weeks on SSC’s Ulva Ferry site to put their learning in to practice. Under the guidance of SSC staff, the group has been assisting with daily activities, including fish health checks and net washing, gaining valuable hands- on experience.
Craig Anderson, managing director at SSC, said: ‘ This is the first time the students have been exposed to an operational environment. We recognise the importance of supporting future talent for the industry and showcasing the diverse opportunities available across the sector.’
