Young­sters dis­cuss en­ergy pro­jects

YOUNG peo­ple will be in­volved in a work­shop in Ar­gyll next month where they can dis­cuss how com­mu­nity- owned re­new­able en­ergy pro­jects in ru­ral com­mu­ni­ties can im­pact their lives.

The fo­rum for stu­dents will fo­cus on is­sues such as new ca­reer op­por­tu­ni­ties and skills de­vel­op­ment cre­ated by so- called green en­ergy pro­jects.

Hosted by the Ru­ral Pol­icy Cen­tre at Scot­land’s Ru­ral Col­lege (SRUC), the sem­i­nar will also dis­cuss to what ex­tent young peo­ple are rep­re­sented in en­ergy de­ci­sions that af­fect their lives.

So­cial Im­pacts of Re­new­ables on Young Peo­ple is be­ing held at the Here We Are so­cial ini­tia­tive in Cairn­dow on Novem­ber 9.
