THREE Invergarry Primary School pupils have been named young volunteers of the year at the Highland coaching awards.

Sarah MacLennan, Megan Stewart and Jade Douglas are dance volunteers at the school and completed their level one and two dance leadership courses earlier this year.

A High Life Highland spokeswomen said: ‘They have built up so much confidence leading the dance sessions in Invergarry. They have between 10 and 15 boys and girls participating in each session.

‘This has had a big impact in Invergarry with the primary school being so small. It allows the children to get active and have fun in their local area. Without Sarah, Megan and Jade volunteering their time, there wouldn’t be any after school activities in the area.’
