Band’s fundrais­ing con­cert raises the right notes

LOCHABER Com­mu­nity Wind Band raised £450 for Parkin­son UK – Lochaber sup­port group at a con­cert in Kil­mallie Com­mu­nity Cen­tre.

The well-at­tended event on Sun­day Oc­to­ber 30 fea­tured a var­ity of ar­range­ments, in­clud­ing Celtic Dances, Mambo No. 5 and the Duke Elling­ton com­po­si­tion It don’t Mean a Thing. Tea and home bak­ing was en­joyed at the in­ter­val be­fore a raf­fle was drawn and the pro­gramme re­sumed with Rocky by Bill Conti.

A band spokesman said: ‘The wind band thanks the au­di­ence, those who helped out at the con­cert and the gen­eros­ity of peo­ple who con­trib­uted to the raf­fle.
