Band’s fundraising concert raises the right notes
LOCHABER Community Wind Band raised £450 for Parkinson UK – Lochaber support group at a concert in Kilmallie Community Centre.
The well-attended event on Sunday October 30 featured a varity of arrangements, including Celtic Dances, Mambo No. 5 and the Duke Ellington composition It don’t Mean a Thing. Tea and home baking was enjoyed at the interval before a raffle was drawn and the programme resumed with Rocky by Bill Conti.
A band spokesman said: ‘The wind band thanks the audience, those who helped out at the concert and the generosity of people who contributed to the raffle.
