Bowlers re­turn to league

THE FIRST matches have been played in Fort Wil­liam’s 10-pin bowl­ing league.

Af­ter week one, teams Al­l­ey­cats and The Sham­bowls are at the top of the scratch divi­sion with the max­i­mum five points, while Bri­tish Le­gion Fort Wil­liam are in third with three points.

In the hand­i­cap divi­sion, Al­l­ey­cats are the only team with the max­i­mum of five points, closely fol­lowed by Bri­tish Le­gion and The Sham­bowls, both on three points.

In­di­vid­u­ally, the best game in week one came from Pam Weller of Al­l­ey­cats with 192. Pam also had the hand­i­cap game of 222 and the top two game scratch se­ries with 326.

The top two game hand­i­cap se­ries was tied with Pam and Tony White­locke (Al­l­ey­cats) both rolling 384.

The best team scores of the week were all taken by Al­l­ey­cats with a scratch game of 615, hand­i­cap game of 775, two game scratch se­ries of 1,197 and two game hand­i­cap se­ries of 1,517.
