THE FIRST matches have been played in Fort William’s 10-pin bowling league.

After week one, teams Alleycats and The Shambowls are at the top of the scratch division with the maximum five points, while British Legion Fort William are in third with three points.

In the handicap division, Alleycats are the only team with the maximum of five points, closely followed by British Legion and The Shambowls, both on three points.

Individual­ly, the best game in week one came from Pam Weller of Alleycats with 192. Pam also had the handicap game of 222 and the top two game scratch series with 326.

The top two game handicap series was tied with Pam and Tony Whitelocke (Alleycats) both rolling 384.

The best team scores of the week were all taken by Alleycats with a scratch game of 615, handicap game of 775, two game scratch series of 1,197 and two game handicap series of 1,517.
