Skye look­ing for new sec­ond team man­ager

Skye Ca­manachd are look­ing for a new sec­ond team man­ager af­ter Davie Pringle con­firmed he is stand­ing down af­ter two years in the hot seat. Davie Pringle has taken a lead role with the Skye sec­onds for the last two sea­sons whilst also be­ing part of John MacLeod’s se­nior man­age­ment team dur­ing his three-year ten­ure with the Skye first team.

Pringle led the Skye colts to the Marine Har­vest North Di­vi­sion 2 ti­tle in his first sea­son in charge and his side con­sol­i­dated their Marine Har­vest North Di­vi­sion 1 sta­tus last sea­son, fin­ish­ing in a cred­i­ble fifth po­si­tion.

Davie Pringle was named 2016 Youth Coach of the Year at the re­cent Marine Har­vest Ca­manachd As­so­ci­a­tion Awards and will con­tinue in his role as Skye Ca­manachd U17 Head Coach.

Skye Ca­manachd chair­man Dou­glas MacDougall said: ‘ We’d all like to thank Davie for his com­mit­ment to tak­ing train­ing for the first team, sec­ond team and U17s and his in­volve­ment with the man­age­ment team which was set up three years ago.

Again, as with the first team, we have sec­ond team play­ers who have de­vel­oped sig­nif­i­cantly as a re­sult of Davie’s ef­forts and we ap­pre­ci­ate that en­deav­our.’

Skye Ca­manachd, who have also started the search for a new first team man­ager to re­place John Macleod, are as­sess­ing a cou­ple of op­tions ahead of nam­ing Pringle’s re­place­ment.
