Event in mem­ory of climber Kieran

FRIENDS of a 21-year- old stu­dent who died this year are or­gan­is­ing a day to re­mem­ber on his be­half.

Kieran Shaw fell while on a climb­ing trip on Aonach Mor in Oc­to­ber.

Kieran shared his en­thu­si­asm for climb­ing with an en­joy­ment for poker, and his friends in the Lochy Poker League are or­gan­is­ing ‘ Texas Hold’em Poker, sit and go’ in his mem­ory.

The group has asked lo­cal busi­nesses in Fort Wil­liam and Lochaber to do­nate a raf­fle prize and they have been over­whelmed with the re­sponse.

The event will take place this Satur­day Novem­ber 19 at the Lochy Bar, Caol. Reg­is­tra­tion will be from 12.30pm till 1pm with a £5 buy in. The raf­fle and an auc­tion will take place at 3pm, with all pro­ceeds go­ing to Lochaber Moun­tain Res­cue Team.
