Lochaber High School staff bid farewell

‘GOOD­BYE and good luck’ was the mes­sage to three mem­bers of staff on their last day at a Fort Wil­liam school.

Emo­tions were high at Lochaber High School as Doreen Robertson, Ron Hep­burn and Jan­ice Gunn said farewell to their pupils and col­leagues. Head teacher Jim Suther­land passed on his well wishes and said: ‘Doreen Robertson, a pupil sup­port as­sis­tant, is re­tir­ing af­ter be­ing in the school for six years and has com­pleted over 30 years in a sim­i­lar role with the High­land Coun­cil; Ron Hep­burn, is re­tir­ing af­ter 16 years as head jan­i­tor and Jan­ice Gunn, home eco­nomics teacher, is mov­ing to an­other post.’

The three ‘Christ­mas Leavers’ were pre­sented with cards and gifts from col­leagues at a so­cial gath­er­ing in the school.
