MSP vows to fight on over house gaff
MSP Michael Russell has vowed to continue to fight an ‘injustice’ against ‘blameless’ Ann Colthart, after a council planning mistake meant a house was built too close to her Connel home.
Mr Russell said: ‘I am very frustrated by the failure of the council and the developer to realise action needs to be taken.
‘I have put forward suggestions, none of which has been acted upon.
‘It is wrong. The council has to find a way forward. I am not giving up.’
Argyll and Bute Council responded: ‘Action has been taken. We have found a solution which protects [her] privacy. Given the new house is only 2.7m closer, with the changes in design, the application was acceptable.’
