INVERLOCHY Primary School pupils proved that they have the Scots Factor when they took part in a Scots language poetry competition on Friday.
Pupils from primary one through to seven took part, reciting poetry and sing- ing songs in Scots. They were whittled down to three finalists from each class.
The finalists performed in front of their peers and parents, as well as the three guest judges – photographer Iain Ferguson, Duncansburgh Church minister Reverend Richard Baxter, and Reverend Chris ‘Kiki’ MacRae from Kilmallie Free Church.
The overall winners from each class were Katie McIntyre, Rory Young, Daniel Parfitt, Ben McGregor, Phoebe Judge, Victoire Bakhache and Aiden MacLellan.
Deputy head teacher Tanya Ross said: ‘The children really enjoyed it and they were confident when they were performing their poems.’
