Skye chef in the mix for Bake Off

A SKYE chef is one of four peo­ple thought to be in the run­ning to be Paul Hol­ly­wood's co-host in the next se­ries of Great Bri­tish Bake Off.

Lady Claire Mac­Don­ald, 69, who runs KIn­loch Lodge on the is­land with her hus­band God­frey, has been spot­ted at a stu­dio in Lon­don, where it is be­lieved au­di­ence tests are tak­ing place for the show, which has been taken over by Chan­nel 4. Ir­ish chef and baker Rachel Al­lan, Yorkshire cook Frances Atkins and TV chef Michel Roux Junior were also spot­ted at the Lon­don stu­dio.

Lady Mac­Don­ald and her fam­ily de­clined to com­ment when con­tacted by The Oban Times.
