- For all enquiries or further details, contact Peter Urpeth, Director ( Writing and Publishing) Emergents / XPONorth at: peterurpeth@xponorth.net

XPONorth (Writing and Publishing) will run a new one- day comedy writing workshop with leading comedy coach Logan Murray – but places are limited to just six lucky participants.

Delivering what is widely regarded as the most successful comedy course in Europe, Murray has taught Greg Davies, Andi Osho, Rhod Gilbert, Josh Widdecombe, Diane Morgan, Marcel Lecont and Kavan Novak.

Comedy, like any other art form, is a craft – there are tips and techniques to be learned.

Peter Urpeth, Director ( Writing and Publishing), XPONorth said: ‘ Comedy is often considered to be one of the hardest skills for writers working in any genre or form to master.

‘But comedy is a craft that has developed with forms and structures that can be understood and really enable writers and performers to develop their work.’

The workshop takes place in a controlled and supportive environment and is suitable for writers (and writer/performers, including stand-up) seeking to advance their comedy writing and ideas.

From finding your creative inspiration to learning the building blocks of jokes, this workshop will help you discover your unique comic voice.

Murray’s workshop, Unlock your inner idiot for fun and

profit!, takes place at Eden Court Theatre, Inverness, on Thursday April 20.

Places are limited and open only to applicants living in the Highlands and Islands. Financial assistance may be available for applicants from the islands.
