Caol crash driver arrested
THE MAN who crashed a stolen Audi A4 in Caol and then fled the scene almost four weeks ago has been arrested.
The collision happened at 10.15pm on Sunday March 12 and the driver and passenger made off from the vehicle which then caught fire. The passenger was detained shortly after and was said to be assisting police with inquires.
The Audi had been reported stolen from a local address and was seen on Torlundy Road prior to the collision.
On March 23, the Lochaber Times confirmed the driver had been reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
At the Caol Community Council meeting on April 10, Constable Marina MacDonald said the driver had been arrested last weekend.
