Chil­dren jump to it to raise funds

CHIL­DREN sup­ported by Lochaber Autism Aware­ness Group raised more than £ 500 for the or­gan­i­sa­tion by tak­ing part in their an­nual spon­sored bounce on Satur­day April 1.

Fort Wil­liam Bouncy Cas­tle Hire supplied the group with an in­flat­able and the chil­dren bounced to raise £ 540.20.

Amie-Louise Wal­lace from the group said: ‘ This is the one time of the year when the chil­dren get to raise money for them­selves. It gives them a real sense of achieve­ment and team work.’

The Lochaber group has so far raised £ 835 dur­ing April which is Autism Aware­ness Month.

Schools and busi­nesses in the area have been sup­port­ing the cam­paign to help peo­ple have a bet­ter un­der­stand­ing of the con­di­tion.
