A DIFFERENT ball game was played at Ropework Park in Lochgilphead recently when Mid Argyll Rugby Club hosted the latest Dalriada Festival.

The festival, organised by Argyll and Bute’s rugby development officer Allan Wright, was well attended, with teams from Oban, Taynuilt, isle of Mull and Kintyre all visiting the Mid Argyll juniors. Support

Warm, sunny weather attracted a lot of friends and family along to show their support and enjoy what turned out to be a great show of quality mini rugby.

All the teams played well on the day with plenty of try-scor- ing and exciting action as all the teams put on a fine display of sportsmanship and spirit.

Allan said: ‘A massive thanks to everyone who came along to the Dalriada festival at Mid Argyll. Fantastic

‘It was a great festival and was fantastic to see some very strong teams in attendance. Mid Argyll, as usual, were great hosts, even managing to arrange good weather for us.’

The next Dalriada festival is to be held at Lochaber on Saturday April 29.
