A PLANT and pro­duce sale will be held in Lis­more pub­lic Hall on May 27 to raise money for the Lis­more Com­mu­nity Trust Fund.

It is an event where peo­ple can buy, sell or swap plants, seedlings, home pro­duce and crafts. Teas, cof­fees and snacks will be avail­able.

A ret­ro­spec­tive ex­hi­bi­tion of the work of artists Ted and El­iz­a­beth Odling is also on at the Lis­more Gaelic Her­itage Cen­tre on the Isle of Lis­more un­til Oc­to­ber 31.

Ted and El­iz­a­beth lived and worked on the West Coast of Scot­land through­out their ca­reers of more than 50 years, and they spent the past 25 years of this time on Lis­more Is­land. Their work cov­ers a wide span in­clud­ing land­scape and still life paint­ing, mu­rals, in­stru­ment making, and em­broi­dery and quilts.

The Lis­more Her­itage Cen­tre lies three miles from the Port Ap­pin pas­sen­ger ferry slip at Point and 2.5 miles from the Oban ferry slip at Ach­nacroish. The mu­seum and cafe at the cen­tre are open seven days a week from 11am to 4pm.

Many is­landers at­tended the launch of the dis­play of Ted and El­iz­a­beth Odling’s art at the Gaelic Her­itage Cen­tre.
