Event promotes work and life of church

AN EVENT to celebrate the life and work of the church will take place in Fort William on Sunday.

Heart and Soul is a festival which takes place in Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh.

Heart and Soul Local will take place at Fort William Duncansburgh Macintosh Church on the same day – Sunday May 21. Tapping into a live web stream to follow some of the Edinburgh events, there will also be local input, including music from the Duror and Glencoe Praise band. Steve Aisthorpe will lead a seminar on ‘the invisible church’, and Out of the Box Puppets will be performing.

The live web stream from Edinburgh will begin at 2pm, with local events from 3pm, and the closing worship, when we will join with thousands gathering at Princes Street Gardens at 5pm.

Lochaber Presbytery and its congregations invite everyone to share in this celebration.
