Fort prepare for North of Scotland cup final
TWENTY-TWO years on from their last Cup Final, Fort William head to Rothes on Saturday to face Brora in the final of the Menzies Distribution North of Scotland Cup.
In season 1994/95, Fort William won through to the final of the North Cup, defeating Ross County, Caledonian Thistle and Brora Rangers on the way, but lost out to Lossiemouth in the final at Forres.
On their way to the final this season, Fort William have beaten Losssiemouth, Invergordon and Rothes.
Returning to the Rothes ground following the win there two weeks ago means that the team are familiar with the pitch.
Ally Ewen, manager, said: ‘The squad are really fired up for this important match.’
The cup final will be the last match of the 2016/17 season for Fort William.
Fort William directors, committee, management and player squad are hoping for a strong support to head to Rothes to cheer on the Fort on Saturday (May 20)
The match will kick off at 3pm at Mackessack Park, Rothes.
