Fort lose out to Highland

SATURDAY saw Fort William Cricket Club meet Highland in an early season top- of-thetable clash.

But it was the Inverness team who won out with a 116 stand by Wolton and Crabtree contributing to a final total of 236. Fighting back against a strong start wickets fell regularly with DJ Duncan and Ross Lavin both taking three wickets.

In reply, Forts free-scoring batsmen never really got going. Opener Charlie Luxton hit 20 and DJ Duncan top-scored with 24, with Fort all out for 114.

Fort are determined to return to winning ways against Elgin this weekend.
