ART Lochaber is gearing up to host its annual exhibition. The art work will be on show at Ben Nevis industrial estate from Saturday May 27 to Wednesday June 7, from 10am to 6pm daily. Entry to the exhibition is free.
LOCHABER Schools Pipe Band and friends will be in concert next month. They will be performing at Lochaber High School on Wednesday June 7 at 7pm, with special guests the Lochaber Gaelic Choir. Tickets are £5 for adults and £2 for children, with tea and coffee included. Tickets can be bought from Lochaber High School and band members.
STRAMASH Nursery will be holding its family fun day this weekend. The event is on Saturday May 27 will run from 11am until 3pm. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun any time throughout the day. Car boot and craft tables are available for £10 and if you would like to book email firstname.lastname@example.org. There will also be a bouncy castle, raffle, beat the goalie, marshmallow toasting, baking stalls and much more.
LOCHABER Craft Fair will be on in the Duncansburgh MacIntosh Church today (Thursday May 25). The fair is being held from 10am to 3pm with wooden crafts, chocolate, candles and textiles inspired by the Highlands on show. Head along to support Lochaber’s craft producers. NETHER Lochaber will also be hosting a craft fair in the village hall, Onich, on Saturday May 27, from 10am to 4pm. Homemade cakes and jam, knitted crafts and cushions and jewellery will be available, with soups and refreshments also on offer.
LOCHABER Environmental Group has teamed up with Off Beat Bikes to offer a free two-hour workshop on bike maintenance and repair on Tuesday June 13 from 7pm to 9pm at its store on the High Street. This workshop is open to all Lochaber residents, with the aim of giving people the confidence to maintain their bikes properly and use their bikes more. THE Kilmallie Community Centre is hosting another community gardens clean-up. The group is calling for gardeners and volunteers to help with the restoration of the site. The clean-up will start at 10am on Saturday June 17. For more information, contact Sarah Kennedy on 07768 805040.
