Succesful SWI group rally in Connel
THE SCOTTISH Women’s Institute Lorn Group rally held in Connel Hall was the most successful in recent years.
There were a total of 453 entries ranging from baking, crafts, photography, art and floral art.
The atmosphere was excellent with members exchanging hints and tips. The area with the highest points was Oban and the area with the highest points per member was Kilmore. The best exhibit in the craft section was a necklace made by Alice Campbell of Taynuilt. The best exhibit in the baking section was decorated sponge by Fiona Coutts of Kilbrandon and Taynuilt won the community tray section.
