A FES­TI­VAL in Stornoway yes­ter­day (Wed­nes­day May 24) show­cased publisher Acair’s out­put over 40 years.

The event in An Lan­ntair in­cluded free lit­er­ary events, start­ing with the open­ing pre­sen­ta­tion from Tiree writer Don­ald Meek.

Then, at 2.30pm, there was a creative writ­ing work­shop with writer Iain F Ma­cLeod be­fore a dis­cus­sion on Scot­tish pub­lish­ing with the CEO of Pub­lish­ing Scot­land, Mar­ion Sin­clair.

Writer Fin­lay Ma­cLeod and il­lus­tra­tor Andrew McMor­rine dis­cussed mak­ing of chil­dren’s books. Fin­lay and Andrew worked to­gether on the first chil­dren’s book from Acair, Rò­nan agus
