Car­ers Week 2017 runs from June 12-18

Car­ers Week is an an­nual cam­paign to raise aware­ness of car­ing, high­light the chal­lenges car­ers face and recog­nise the con­tri­bu­tion they make to fam­i­lies and com­mu­ni­ties.

Come and visit us at North Argyll Car­ers Cen­tre and find out more of what we do to sup­port car­ers across Oban, Lorn and the isles.

We cur­rently of­fer on­go­ing one to one sup­port, weekly cof­fee morn­ing, therapies, coun­selling, sup­port groups, so­cial out­ings, respite op­por­tu­ni­ties, train­ing and ac­tiv­i­ties, a young car­ers ser­vice, and of­fer sup­port to car­ers liv­ing in ru­ral and re­mote ar­eas. We can also of­fer Carer Sup­port Plans to sup­port you in your car­ing role.

Dur­ing Car­ers Week we will be launch­ing our Car­ers Photography Ex­hi­bi­tion Who Cares? At Water­stones from 2pm on Mon­day June 12. We have our reg­u­lar weekly cof­fee morn­ing on Tues­day June 13 from 11am. On Wed­nes­day June 14 we will have Heather Noller from Car­ers Trust talk­ing about the new Car­ers Act and what it will mean for car­ers.

On Fri­day June 15 we will have a fi lm show of Mairi Fleck’s Trip to Nepal from 1.30pm.
