THE 45-STRONG Kelvin Chamber Orchestra will perform at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig, Skye, today (Thursday June 1) at 7.30pm.

The Glasgow-based orchestra forms part of the Kelvin Ensemble, a student-run symphony orchestra performing works chosen by the student committee throughout the year.

Members are expected to play to a high level and display the musicianship and dedication typical of a full symphony orchestra.

The programme for the evening includes Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture; Schubert, Symphony No.8; Rossini’s Barber of Seville Overture; and Beethoven, Symphony No.6.
