Cameron hits all the right notes at club
ELEVEN-YEAR- OLD Cameron MacIssac has been crowned Fort William Accordion and Fiddle Club's most improved young player of the year, taking home the top prize from the club’s final show.
The club welcomed a great turnout at its final night of the season earlier this month when Cameron received the Willie MacKillop Memorial Trophy.
Around 45 people attended the event, with 10 musicians taking turns on the stage to play.
Cameron started playing when he was seven and has been attending the club for three years. This was the second year Cameron has won the award. Andrew MacDonald from the club told the Lochaber
Times: ‘It was a very good evening with a lot of positive comments for the local players.
‘ We host the club the first Tuesday of the month from October to May with a guest band playing each month, except the last month where we just have a night of local musicians.’
