STAFF and vol­un­teers from Lochaber Sen­sory Care (LSC) for sight and hear­ing will be vis­it­ing Ard­na­mur­chan on June 12. The LSC rep­re­sen­ta­tives will be based in Achar­a­cle Med­i­cal Prac­tice be­tween 10.30am and 11.30am, and at Dail Mhor care homes in Stron­tian from 12.20pm to 1.30pm. At both venues they will of­fer help and ad­vice to those with a hear­ing or sight loss. The team mem­bers will also re-tube and main­tain NHS hear­ing aids, and sup­ply NHS bat­ter­ies. No ap­point­ments are nec­es­sary. BOOK your ap­point­ments to give blood at the Ne­vis Cen­tre on June 14 be­tween 1.30pm and 4pm, and 5pm and 7.15pm. Spa­ces are lim­ited so to book your do­na­tions call 03453 017270, Mon­day to Thurs­day, 9am to 7pm, and Fri­day 9am to 5pm. Ap­point­ment grid closes 4pm the day be­fore. CROILEAGAN Gri­anach is host­ing a fash­ion show on June 22. Funds will be put back into the nurs­ery. The show starts at 6.30pm in M&Co at High Street, Fort William. CAOL gala day is on June 24 at Bun-Sgoil Ghàidhlig Loch Abar from noon to 4pm. There will be a fair, a li­censed bar, snacks and craft stalls. ON SATUR­DAY June 24 a pub­lic meet­ing will be held be­tween 3pm and 4.30pm at the Four Sea­sons Bistro, the Inchree Cen­tre in Onich, chaired by Coun­cil­lor An­drew Bax­ter. This will be to have an open dis­cus­sion about two op­tions for the Nether Lochaber com­mu­nity to ac­quire build­ings and an area of wood­land from the Forestry Com­mis­sion Scot­land (FCS), and agri­cul­tural fields owned by Lochaber Hous­ing As­so­ci­a­tion. THE Kil­mallie Com­mu­nity Cen­tre is host­ing an­other com­mu­nity gar­dens clean-up. The group is call­ing for gar­den­ers and vol­un­teers to help with the restora­tion of the site. BUS Users Scot­land is hold­ing a Your Bus Mat­ters event to al­low pas­sen­gers to dis­cuss lo­cal bus ser­vices in Fort William in part­ner­ship with Scot­tish Ci­tylink, Stage­coach North Scot­land, Shiel Buses and the High­land Coun­cil. This will take place on Tues­day June 13 be­tween 2pm and 7pm in St An­drews Hall, High Street, Fort William.
