Kyle RNLI crew help res­cue man

KYLE of Lochalsh RNLI res­cued a man who broke his an­kle af­ter fall­ing on rocks near Eilean Do­nan Cas­tle.

The vol­un­teer crew were paged at 5.43pm on Satur­day June 3 to as­sist the Scot­tish Am­bu­lance Ser­vice with the 48-year- old man.

Kyle lifeboat Spirit of Fred ar­rived on scene at 6.04pm and trans­ported the ca­su­alty from the cas­tle is­land to the slip­way at Dornie hall, where he was trans­ferred to the am­bu­lance.

The lifeboat was ready for ser­vice again at 7.20pm.
