Bradbury brothers star for Scotland
OBAN’S Bradbury brothers - Magnus and Fergus - have been in action for their respective Scotland rugby teams.
Magnus, who plays his club rugby for Edinburgh in the Guinness Pro12 league, played in the Scots team that thumped Italy in Singapore on Saturday. Magnus was on the bench but came on in the back row during the 34-14 defeat of the Italians.
The Scotland squad is now continuing its tour, which sees them in Australia preparing to take on the mighty Wallabies this Saturday at the Allianz Stadium in Sydney.
Younger brother Fergus, who plays for Stirling County in the BT Premiership, is in Georgia with the Scots team playing in the World Rugby Under-20 Championship.
The Scots have been doing well, despite losing their opening fixture against New Zealand on May 31. Fergus started that game but was on the bench for the second clash, in which Scotland beat Ireland 32-28 on June 4.
He was on the bench again last Thursday, June 8, as Scotland won 17-16 against Italy to qualify for the knockout stages in second place in Pool B.
Scotland were playing Wales on Tuesday evening in their first knockout game.
