Social media

The Oban Times - - Letters -

One of the most talked about topics on our social media in recent days was Oban Live and the performance of K9 Kev and Rory O’B, the two Oban rappers who won the chance to play at the festival. Lyndsay Elliott cheered: ‘Loved them! Highlight of the day, wish they could have been on again later.’

Bob Blainey posted: ‘Brilliant. In honour of Oban we should call the Drizzle Kicks.’ Laura Docherty agreed: ‘ They were fab would have loved more of them

will be keeping an eye out for more from them.’ Rachel Smith said: ‘ They were fantastic! I hope they go far!’ There was also comment on the problem of dog fouling in Oban and its surrounding areas.

Mairi MacDonald complained: ‘I walk my daughter to nursery at dunbeg school everyday and at the start it was really bad on the pavement and even along the shortcut path to the school it’s seems to be not so bad now but there are some poo filled bags hanging

from trees and when it’s warm it’s vile. Not really nice to see and heartbreaking that people care so little about our countryside.’

Mark Cardwell said: ‘ Don’t know if it’s on the increase but it is worse than many other towns. Particularly annoying are when people do manage to bag it up and then leave it lying around or hanging from branches, who do they think is going to bin it for them?’

Malcolm Cullen wrote: ‘ The whole Glencruitten/Mossfield/Dalintart area is quite bad.’
