STAFF and volunteers from Lochaber Sensory Care for sight and hearing support will visit Abbeyfield Care Home, Ballachulish, on Monday June 19 between 10.30am and 12.30pm. They will offer help and advice to anyone living with a hearing or sight loss – residents or members of the community.
SUNDAY June 18 will see almost 100 youngsters take part in the Lochaber Music School concert at Lochaber High School at 3pm. Admission is £5 for adults and free for school age children. The concert will display many aspects of the wonderful musical activities Lochaber Music School – now in its 30th year – provides for more than 150 children every week in Camaghael Hostel, adjacent to the High School in Fort William.
MÒD AIRD nam Murchan is on Friday June 16 and will once again be held in Ardsgoil Aird nam Murchan and Arainn Shuainert in Strontian. Competitions start at 9.15am and continue until 5pm. Everyone welcome. The prizewinners' concert will start at 7pm in Arainn Shuainert.

CAOL gala day takes place on Saturday June 24 at Bun-Sgoil Ghàidhlig Loch Abar from noon to 4pm. Attractions include a fair, a licensed bar, snacks, craft stalls, tug- of-war, bonnie baby competition, gala grannie and cheerleaders. Teams for the tug- of-war are encouraged to get in touch, as is anyone with home baking donations. Fancy dress is encouraged. An unlimited ride wristband costs £9, with a single ride costing £1.
