Fort William Jiu Jitsu Club celebrate first anniversary
FORT William Jiu Jitsu Club celebrates its first anniversary this month and, with a growing membership, has started to have monthly seminars with 10th Planet Glasgow.
Steven Thompson, the most qualified instructor in Scotland, and his team have been extremely welcoming and generous in sharing information, techniques and skills, as well as visiting the Fort William club.
Eddie Lopez, who helps organise the local club, said: ‘Nothing has been too much trouble and Steven encourages us to call, email or text him any time with any issue. Steven and his partner Natalie stayed in the town and after the day’s session and joined us for dinner and drinks to celebrate our anniversary.
‘10th Planet is a highly successful worldwide fighting system. We are lucky to have an official 10P club here in Scotland (one of only three in the UK) and even luckier to have such a good relationship with them. The experience and help they have provided has been pivotal in our young club’s progress.’
