CROILEAGAN Gri­anach is host­ing a fash­ion show to­day Thurs­day June 22 in aid of the nurs­ery group’s funds. The show starts at 6.30pm in M&Co, 2 High Street, Fort Wil­liam. KILMALLIE Com­mu­nity Cen­tre is host­ing an­other com­mu­nity gar­den clean-up and needs vol­un­teers to help. The clean-up will start at 10am on Satur­day July 29. There will be fam­ily fun with a fair, a li­censed bar, snacks and craft stalls. There will also be a tug- of-war, bon­nie baby com­pe­ti­tion, gala grannie, cheer­lead­ers and more. Teams for the tug- of-war are en­cour­aged to get in touch, as is any­one with home-bak­ing do­na­tions. Fancy dress is en­cour­aged on the day. STAFF and vol­un­teers from Lochaber Sen­sory Care for sight and hear­ing sup­port will visit Morvern med­i­cal prac­tice on Tues­day June 27 be­tween 10.30am and 12.30pm. They will offer help and ad­vice to any­one liv­ing with a hear­ing or sight loss – res­i­dents or mem­bers of the com­mu­nity. They will also sup­ply NHS hear­ing aid bat­ter­ies and re-tube and main­tain the hear­ing aids. No ap­point­ment is re­quired. THE AN­NUAL gen­eral meet­ing of Alzheimer Scot­land's Lochaber branch will be held in St An­drew's Church Hall, Fort Wil­liam, on Wed­nes­day June 28 at 5.30pm. Ev­ery­one wel­come. THERE will be a fash­ion and mu­sic taster day on Thurs­day June 29 at West High­land Col­lege UHI, Fort Wil­liam. This will be a chance to have a look around, see the stu­dents’ work and ask ques­tions.

There will also be an op­por­tu­nity to ap­ply and have an in­ter­view the same day. At 4.30pm there will be a play-in-a-band ses­sion and find out more about the af­ter school club for next year. ON SATUR­DAY June 24, a pub­lic meet­ing will be held be­tween 3pm and 4.30pm at the Four Sea­sons Bistro at the Inchree Cen­tre in Inchree, Onich, chaired by Coun­cil­lor An­drew Bax­ter.

The pur­pose of this will be to have an open dis­cus­sion about two dif­fer­ent op­tions for the Nether Lochaber com­mu­nity to ac­quire build­ings and a small area of wood­land from the Forestry Com­mis­sion Scot­land (FCS), and his­toric agri­cul­tural fields owned by Lochaber Hous­ing As­so­ci­a­tion.

This will be pre­ceded by a drop-in in­for­ma­tion event from 1.30pm, to ad­vise Nether Lochaber res­i­dents, par­tic­u­larly those at Inchree, as well as any in­ter­ested mem­bers of the wider com­mu­nity, as to the po­ten­tial for com­mu­nity own­er­ship and de­vel­op­ment of th­ese as­sets.
