South Lochaber This­tle hold awards night

SOUTH Lochaber This­tle held their first awards night in Sunny’s Sports bar at the week­end.

The night was hosted by coach and player Alan Gray who pre­sented prizes to, left to right: young player of the year: Martin Munro, who was also joint top goal scorer; player of the year: An­drew McLean; joint top goal scorer, Lewis Mor­ri­son and most im­proved player, Keir Kennedy.

The team also dis­played the two cups they won in their first sea­son against ex­pe­ri­enced op­po­si­tion from teams in Ar­gyll and the Cen­tral belt.

The Kin­lochleven team will be play­ing in the Greater Glas­gow AFL next sea­son.

In prepa­ra­tion, they have or­gan­ised a pre-sea­son friendly match with last sea­son’s Scot­tish Am­a­teur Cup semi-fi­nal­ists Oban Saints.

The game will be played in Oban on Satur­day July 29, kick­off 2pm.

The club will also play in the Ar­gyll and Bute Cup tour­na­ment in Lochgilp­head on Satur­day Au­gust 5.
