THE AT­LANTIS Leisure five-a-side foot­ball league con­tin­ued at the week­end, with three games tak­ing place.

Last week saw a se­ries of close games. How­ever, play­ers must have looked out their shoot­ing boots at the week­end, as each win­ning team scored dou­ble fig­ures. Oak­lea 4 In­ter MilGingerLama 11 This was the first match of the sea­son for In­ter and last year’s player of the sea­son Grant Macpher­son made sure they started with a resounding vic­tory.

De­spite be­ing 3-1 down in the first half, a James Ford in­spired per­for­mance saw them grab the con­vinc­ing win and a man of the match award for James. Men­zies Parcels 1 AC Mil­ama 12 Af­ter draw­ing their first match of the sea­son last week, AC Mil­ama bounced back in ex­cel­lent fash­ion with a su­perb foot­balling per­for­mance, helped by two un­for­tu­nate in­juries to Men­zies leav­ing them play­ing with no sub­sti­tutes.

Martin Bonar was awarded the man of the match af­ter a great box to box dis­play. At­lantis 10 Cuan Mor 2 Af­ter last week’s dis­ap­point­ing de­feat, At­lantis again were only able to field a small team due to var­i­ous com­mit­ments.

A good per­for­mance saw them pick up the win with man of the match Duncan Camp­bell scor­ing sev­eral fan­tas­tic goals.
