Tal­ent shines through at Fèis

DRAMA, dance and sing­ing tal­ent shone through at Fèis Nan Garbh Chrìochan 2017.

More than 100 chil­dren at­tended the five- day event at Achar­a­cle Pri­mary School.

The Fèis, which catered for chil­dren from pri­mary four and up­wards, cel­e­brated its 27th year, of­fer­ing young­sters tu­ition from ex­pert tu­tors in a va­ri­ety of in­stru­ments, Gaelic sing­ing, drama and dance.

There was also a fun Gaelic work­shop for chil­dren from pri­mary one and pre-school. Fèis ad­min­is­tra­tor Amie MacMaster, told the

Lochaber Times: ‘Fèis Nan Garbh Chrìochan 2017 was very well at­tended with 86 chil­dren from P4 to S4 at­tend­ing the main Fèis from Mon­day July 17 to Fri­day July 21 and 30 be­tween Fèis Bheag for P1-3 and our new Fèis Beag Bìo­dach for nurs­ery aged chil­dren from Tues­day July 18 Fri­day July 21. We had a great bunch of tu­tors for the week who show­cased their tal­ents at Wed­nes­day night’s con­cert and for the fam­ily dance on Thurs­day. Fri­day af­ter­noon’s con­cert let our won­der­ful par­tic­i­pants show what they’d been learn­ing be­fore our fam­ily ceilidh and fi­nale dance to round things off on Fri­day night. There are too many sup­port­ers to men­tion -Taing mhòr dhuibh uile.’
