GLAS­GOW War­riors rugby squad brought their pro stars to Oban last week for their sum­mer camp. Pho­to­graph spe­cial

OBAN Lorne RFC hosted Glas­gow War­riors when they de­liv­ered their Cala Homes Young War­riors Sum­mer Camp at Glen­cruit­ten last Fri­day.

Around 30 play­ers from West High­land Clubs in­clud­ing Oban Lorne, Mid Ar­gyll, Etive Vik­ings, Isle of Mull and High­land took part in a great day of fun skill ses­sions and small-sided games led by staff from the Glas­gow War­riors com­mu­nity team.

Also in at­ten­dance at the Camp was Glas­gow War­rior and Scot­land In­ter­na­tional Prop Zan­der Fager­son who took part in the coach­ing ses­sions as well as pos­ing for pho­to­graphs and pro­vid­ing au­to­graphs for his young fans.

Zan­der com­mented: ‘Oban Lorne RFC were very proud to host this event for the sec­ond time in two years, con­tin­u­ing the fan­tas­tic re­la­tion­ship that Glas­gow War­riors pro­vide with lo­cal clubs across the West of Scot­land and be­yond.

‘It’s great to see so many chil­dren turn up, and we have some girls here which is fan­tas­tic.

‘All the chil­dren are re­ally en­thu­si­as­tic and they are will­ing to learn.

Great tal­ent

‘There’s some great tal­ent and it is good to be here. I have been to Oban a few times – I love it up here.’
