Dalmally

THE ANNUAL tradition of Lady Captain’s Day at Dalmally Golf Club upheld its excellent reputation. The weather was kind. The course, after a month of the worst weather on record for nearly 70 years, was in eminently-playable condition thanks to the efforts of greenkeeper, Angus MacGillivray.

From a field of some 20 players, the winners of the Stableford Pairs were Ann Hay and Maud Marshall on 38 pts with Sheila Tollan and June Sutherland on 29 pts.

The hospitality at a clubhouse dinner afterwards was, as ever, more than convivial. Players were joined by social members and friends who raised £ 305 for LUPUS UK (www.lupusuk. org.uk), a charity close to the heart of two members whose family have been affected by this debilitating condition.
