PHOTOGRAPHY club Mull Through the Lens has announced a new competition to get people from all walks of life taking photos.
The bi-annual competition will celebrate local photographic talent with entries welcome in three categories – amateur, professional and student. Photographers must be aged 18 and over and be linked to Mull or Iona by birth, education or residence. There will be a separate ‘Bairns’ competition for under-18s.
The theme of the first competition is ‘Black and White’ and a prize of £150 will be awarded in each category. Independent professional photographers and editors from across Scotland will judge the entries, which should be submitted between August 14 and 31.
An exhibition of all submitted works will be held at venues on Mull still to be announced. The exhibition will run from Friday September 8 to Friday October 20.
