Party as Tiree woman is awarded her BEM
A TIREE woman who is the longest-serving member of the island’s fire service was presented with her BEM by the Lord Lieutenant last week.
Margaret Worsley, who has also been working as an outreach worker for Cuiram Thiriodh for the past three years, was praised for going above and beyond for members of the community.
The Lord Lieutenant for Argyll and Bute, Patrick Stewart, travelled to Tiree to present Margaret with her medal, which took place at a celebratory lunch held in the Scarinish Hotel.
Margaret was surrounded by family, friends, colleagues and other Cuiram volunteers and committee members, who all joined her to celebrate this well- deserved award.
