View from the Chamber

The Oban Times - - News -

TO CELEBRATE the launch of Lochaber Chamber of Commerce’s new Outdoor Capital of the UK website, the chamber will be hosting a spectacular event in association with VisitScotland, Nevis Range and No Fuss Events by staging a shinty match on the summit of Aonach Mor at 4pm on Thursday August 3.

The singular setting of Britain’s highest shinty match is the perfect way to illustrate the unique nature of this online partnership with VisitScotland.

The website features an integration with VisitScotland that allows users on the Outdoor Capital site to search for any accommodation or activity provider that is registered with VisitScotland directly from the OCUK platform.

Through consultation with our tourism marketing group and a strong partnership with VisitScotland, the chamber truly has a new product that we can all be proud of, and one that will firmly reinforce Outdoor

Capital of the UK - Lochaber - as one of the strongest tourism brands in Europe.

As we all know, there is far more to Outdoor Capital of the UK than adrenaline. The new website is designed to reflect exactly that.

Our new look is tailored to make the most of our stunning scenery, incredible businesses, bustling high streets, crafts, incredible food, high quality accommodation and, most of all, our unique and world renowned people.
