Woman in­jured in In­ver­lochy

AN 88-YEAR- OLD woman was ad­mit­ted to hos­pi­tal af­ter an in­ci­dent at an In­ver­lochy ad­dress last Thursday.

Poilce and fire ser­vices at­tended the in­ci­dent on Lochy Road, In­ver­lochy, on Thursday July 27 just be­fore 11pm.

The woman was taken to the Belford Hos­pi­tal where she re­ceived treat­ment.

A po­lice spokesper­son told the Lochaber Times: ‘Po­lice Scot­land was made aware of an in­ci­dent within a house on Lochy Road, In­ver­lochy, at 10.59pm on Thursday July 27. An 88-year- old woman sub­se­quently re­ceived treat­ment at the Belford Hos­pi­tal for non-life-threat­en­ing in­juries.’

Po­lice are now as­sist­ing the Scot­tish Fire and Res­cue Ser­vice and the Health and Safety Ex­ec­u­tive (HSE) in an in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

An HSE spokesper­son said: ‘HSE is aware and is mak­ing in­quires along­side Scot­tish Fire and Res­cue ser­vice.’
