People hike it, bike it and bake it for MS Centre
TSB PARTNERS in Lochgilphead have raised £166 for MS Centre Mid Argyll by ditching their normal mode of transport and riding their bikes to work.
One partner even rode her horse to work.
In addition, those who preferred to show off their baking skills, produced wonderful baking to sell in the branch, in aid of the centre.
‘Hike It or Bike It’ was initiated by TSB’s team in Scotland in 2013, which has raised more than £40,000 for charity.
In 2014, TSB made the initiative an annual fundraiser and many partners hopped on the saddle or trekked into work to raise money. ‘Bake It’ was added to the event this year, making it more inclusive for those who prefer to be in the kitchen than outdoors.
Christine Shankly, bank manager at TSB Lochgilphead, said: ‘By leaving their cars at home and shunning public transport or taking to the kitchen to bake, our team has worked hard to make this event a success.
‘Thanks go to all of our partners who took part and everyone who has supported them.
‘We have really enjoyed getting outdoors, ditching our normal commute into work and showing off our baking skills. It’s fantastic to know our efforts will help such a great cause.’
