Consultation starts on police closures
POLICE Scotland has launched a three-month consultation on the future of its 53 premises due to be disposed of, including Taynuilt, Inveraray and Tarbert police stations.
Police Scotland has 375 premises. The 53 identified as surplus account for 14 per cent of the estate. Deputy chief officer David Page said: ‘The vast majority of them are empty.’
The consultation runs until January 31.
