Crack­ing Craic launch orig­i­nal al­bum

Af­ter more than a year of hard work, an Oban-based band will launch its al­bum this weekend.

Crackin Craic is ex­cited to let every­one hear The Other Side, which is made up of 12 orig­i­nal songs. The launch will take place at The View, for­mally Skip­in­nish, on Satur­day Au­gust 11 from 8pm.

The band is made up of Ruar­idh Allan on vo­cals and gui­tar, Scott Sin­clair on vo­cals and gui­tar and Ewan MacDonald on bass.

Ruar­idh said: ‘Af­ter a lot hard work, we are re­lieved to fi­nally be launch­ing our al­bum. We’re ex­cited and ner­vous at the same time, but can’t wait to let every­one hear it. We’re very ex­cited to fi­nally get this out to the ears of the pub­lic and every­one who has sup­ported us this far.’

The al­bum is based on in­die rock mu­sic with in­spi­ra­tion taken from the band’s idols such as Green­day, The View and Oa­sis.
