Oban shop has sweet result for charity
Staff at Oban’s Specsavers raised £98.30 for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) during National Eye Health Awareness week.
The team hosted a sale of home-baked delights and chocolate treats with funds from every donation going to charity.
Ken Macdonald, store director at Specsavers Oban, said: ‘The team made a great effort – we have some fantastic bakers in store. Customers and visitors could pick from cupcakes, traybakes, crispy cakes or a lemon drizzle loaf with every sale contributing to our fundraising total.
‘A big thank you to everyone who donated and our star bakers in store too.’
