-------King­doms and dy­nas­ties are tum­bling in Ger­many. Be­sides the ab­di­ca­tion of the Kaiser, and the re­nun­ci­a­tion of the Crown Prince, the reign­ing Duke of Brunswick, as son-in-law of the ex-Kaiser, has ab­di­cated.

The po­si­tion in the var­i­ous states and cities of Ger­many is be­lieved to be as fol­lows: PRUS­SIA – Kaiser gone; So­cial­ist Govern­ment. BAVARIA – Re­pub­lic; dynasty de­posed. BRUNSWICK – The Duke ab­di­cated.

SAXONY – King de­posed.

OLDENBURG – Revo­lu­tion re­ported; Sol­diers’ Coun­cil formed. HESSE – A Re­pub­lic; Grand Duke un­der ar­rest. WURTEMBURG – Re­pub­lic pro­claimed; King ab­di­cated. SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEIN – To be a Re­pub­lic. MECKLENBURG-SCHWERIN – Grand Duke agrees to a free Par­lia­ment; pop­u­lar Min­istry to be formed.
