Australia were devastating in attack as they brushed aside Japan 63-30 in Yokohama before they head to Europe to face stiffer opposition in Wales on Saturday and then England and Scotland.
The Wallabies scored five unanswered tries in the first half at the Nissan Stadium, the venue for the 2019 World Cup final, before crossing for four more after the break.
Tevita Kuridrani ran in a hat-trick and his centre partner, Samu Kerevi, grabbed two tries. Henry Speight, Tatafu PolotaNau, Rob Simmons and Nick Phipps also scored.
“I was happy with about 60 minutes of our play but we turned the ball over too many times,” the Australia captain, Michael Hooper, said. Reuters
