But after years of substance abuse, her nose septum had collapsed, forcing her to undergo £6,000 worth of cosmetic surgery.
Tara’s royal connections had made her fascinating to the public even without the drug problem.
TPT, as she became known, was born into a family of wealthy landowners and grew up on a 1,200-acre estate in Hampshire.
Her parents – former Olympic skier Charles and Patti – often entertained royals at home.
The family holidayed with Prince Charles, who was Tara’s godfather, and Princes William and Harry were her childhood companions on the ski slopes.
Tara was there to support the two young royals after the death of their mother Princess Diana in 1997.
