JUST 15 per cent of the ex­tra cash Brex­i­teers promised the NHS if we quit the EU would save our A&Es.

Labour MP Chuka Umunna, chair of pres­sure group Vote Leave Watch, says £52mil­lion a week could end the cri­sis.

The amount is a frac­tion of the £350mil­lion a week Brex­i­teers in­clud­ing For­eign Sec­re­tary Boris John­son claimed the NHS could get if we are not pay­ing into Brus­sels.

Mr Umunna said: “The Gov­ern­ment mustst use the money promised by Leaveave cam­paign­ers to give A&E ser­vices vices the boost they need.

“There is no run­ning un­ning away from the fact the e NHS needs more money.”

And Lib Dem for­mer health min­is­ter Nor­mann Lamb added: “Five mem­bers of Theresa May’s cur­rent Cabi­net spent the ref­er­en­dum cam­paign in a big red bus promis­ing to spend £350mil­lion more a week on the NHS. They need to keep their prom­ise and give our NHS the fund­ing it needs to ov over­come the pres­sure it is un­der.” A £52mil­lion£52mil a week cash in in­jec­tion would doub dou­ble the pre­sen present £2 £2.7bil­lion a annual A&E bud­get.
