Brexit hits cost of hol
BREXIT is pushing down the pound and increasing the price of holidays, the Lib Dems claim.
They say Office of National Statistics figures show the average cost of a nine-day break in Spain for a family of four is up from £1,672 in 2015 to £1,957 this year.
Former Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg said: “Predictions about the rising costs of holidays in Europe were dismissed as Project Fear. Now the Government’s approach to Brexit have made these costs a reality.”
